Avi Arora - KKFC President
Avi has been a cornerstone of Katikati Football Club (KKFC) for over two decades, currently serving as Club President since 2021. With a long history on the committee dating back to 2002, Avi has held several key roles, including Vice President and Senior Men’s Coordinator, bringing extensive experience and continuity to the club’s leadership.
As President, Avi oversees the club’s overall direction, ensuring it operates effectively both on and off the field. His role spans strategic planning, financial oversight, and fostering strong relationships across coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and the wider football community. He plays a central role in decision-making, from appointing coaches to improving facilities, while ensuring the club meets the standards set by regional and national bodies such as Waibop and New Zealand Football. Above all, Avi is focused on maintaining a transparent, inclusive, and well-organised environment where players and supporters can thrive.
Avi’s connection to KKFC began in 1998 when he joined as a player, later competing for six years with the Senior Men’s team and celebrating multiple league and cup successes. His passion for the game has extended into coaching and team development, including founding a men’s team in the early 2000s, coaching across junior, youth, and senior levels, and establishing the long-running Sunday social “Warriors” team. He has also been the coach of the U19 and 1st XI boys team for almost a decade, further demonstrating his commitment to developing young players within the club.
Deeply committed to community football, Avi continues to support all teams within the club and takes pride in seeing generations of players progress through KKFC. His ongoing involvement, supported by his family, reflects a lasting dedication to strengthening both the club and the wider Katikati community.
Zadin Young - KKFC Vice President
Zadin is a dedicated and long-serving member of the Katikati Football Club (KKFC), currently contributing across multiple key roles, including Vice President, Groundsman, Sponsorship Coordinator, and Grants Coordinator. With three years on the committee, Zadin plays an integral part in the leadership and day-to-day operations of the club, helping to ensure it continues to grow and thrive both on and off the field.
As Vice President, now in his second year, Zadin works closely with the President and committee to guide the club’s direction, support teams and events, and help maintain a positive, well-organised environment for players and families. Alongside this, his hands-on role as Groundsman sees him maintaining the club’s fields and facilities, ensuring they are safe, well-presented, and ready for both training and match days. Zadin also leads the club’s sponsorship and funding efforts. In his third year as Sponsorship Coordinator, he focuses on building strong, lasting relationships with existing sponsors while actively seeking new opportunities to support the club. As Grants Coordinator, he collaborates with the committee to identify funding opportunities, assists with applications, and helps secure vital resources for club initiatives.
His involvement with KKFC spans nearly two decades. Zadin played for the club for nine years as a youth and later returned as a senior player. For the past six years, he has been a committed coach, currently a leading member and coach in MiniKickers programme and heading into his third season coaching his daughter’s junior team, the Pandas. He also continues to support the club as a player in social football and as a regular supporter of the senior men’s team.
Zadin’s connection to KKFC is deeply rooted in family. His parents, Malcolm and Donna Young, have been long-time supporters and sponsors, contributing across multiple teams and years, with Donna also managing a 1st XI side. His siblings have all played for the club, and today his own family continues that legacy—his wife Lisa helps manage all Football teams and programs Zadin is involved with, while their children, Brooklyn and Harrison, have been involved with the club from a young age.
Motivated by a desire to give back to a club that played a significant role in his own upbringing, Zadin is passionate about creating a positive, supportive environment where young players can develop their love for football. Beyond KKFC, he contributes to the wider Katikati community by supporting other local sports clubs, volunteering at school events through the POTS committee, and assisting the non-profit Project Parore.
Through his leadership, hands-on involvement, and strong community ties, Zadin continues to make a meaningful impact at Katikati Football Club and within the wider community.
Aimee Harty - KKFC Treasurer
Aimee has been an active member of the Katikati Football Club (KKFC) committee for more than three years, currently serving as Treasurer. In this role, she is responsible for managing the club's financial health, overseeing day-to-day accounts, preparing annual budgets, and completing end-of-year financial reporting. Her careful stewardship helps ensure the club remains financially sustainable and well-positioned for future growth.
Aimee's involvement with KKFC extends well beyond the committee table. Since joining the club in 2015, she has volunteered across a wide range of roles, including General Committee Member, Mini Kickers Coordinator, team coach, team manager, Fantails coach, and player for the club's women's team. Her willingness to contribute wherever needed reflects her commitment to supporting players, volunteers, and families throughout the club.
Football has been part of Aimee's life since she was five years old, and remaining connected to the game through Katikati Football Club has been a rewarding way to give back to a sport that has played such an important role in her life. Today, she enjoys watching the next generation come through the club, with her son Dash preparing to begin his third season in Mini Kickers.
Outside of football, Aimee works for Hume Pack-N-Cool and serves on the Board of the Hume Pack-N-Cool & Growers Community Fund, continuing her commitment to supporting the wider Katikati community.
Aimee is passionate about helping create an inclusive, supportive, and sustainable club where young players have every opportunity to develop, enjoy football, and follow a pathway that allows them to thrive for years to come.
Vicky Allen - KKFC Registrations and Prizegiving Coordinator
Vicky is one of the driving forces behind the day-to-day operation of Katikati Football Club (KKFC), serving as Registrations Coordinator and Prizegiving Coordinator while also managing one of the club's youth teams. With almost three years on the committee, Vicky has become known for her organisation, attention to detail, and willingness to step in wherever needed to support players, volunteers, and families.
As Registrations Coordinator, Vicky oversees one of the club's busiest and most complex functions. She manages player registrations, coordinates team allocations, and works closely with players, coaches, managers, WaiBOP Football, and New Zealand Football to ensure each season gets underway successfully. She also helps coordinate the smooth running of home match days and assists teams with securing referees, making sure players can simply focus on enjoying the game.
In addition to this, Vicky has coordinated the club's annual Prizegiving for the past three years, organising award nominations, certificates, trophy engraving, and hosting the event as Master of Ceremonies. Her previous committee roles include Club Secretary, while she has also managed the First XI Girls club and school teams, including organising their participation in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Winter Tournament. She is currently Team Manager for the Second XI Boys.
Vicky's dedication to the club was recognised in 2025 when she was awarded the prestigious KKFC President's Shield, acknowledging her outstanding contribution to the club.
Football is a true family affair for the Allen family. All four of Vicky's children are actively involved with KKFC, whether as players, coaches, referees, or emerging leaders within the club. Her husband and older children have also volunteered as coaches over the years, making football a shared family commitment.
Driven by a passion for community and club development, Vicky is proud to help create an environment where every player and family feels welcome, supported, and able to enjoy everything football has to offer.
