Katikati AIMS Games Football

Last week the Katikati College had a boy’s football team playing at the Aims games. This team consisted of mostly KKFC 12th grade Dynamite players. The team was led by Captain Blake Cousins and two Vice Captains Hunter Gould and Jackson Stevens. The team was made up of 2 x year 8, 10 x year 7 players making it a very young team and it was the 1st time for all these players attending. It was a tough tournament and in total the team played 8 games, Lost 6, Won 1 (default) Drew 1 (lost on a penalty shoot) Teams overall goal scorers were Blake Cousins 5, Rainal Kumar, Alex Scott, Isaac Upreti x1 and we ended up in the 4th division out of 5. Blake Cousins was awarded the Aims Games Sportsmanship medal which was voted on by his team mates.
During the week the team had a special guest visit from Kenny Creswell who talked to them about his 1982 world cup experience.
